Ali is a patient-centered therapist that believes that the best therapeutic outcomes are a result of open client-therapist communication. She uses a combination of swedish massage, myofascial techniques, trigger point therapy, passive and active stretching. She believes in a biopsychosocial approach to health and wellness and thinks that collaboration with other therapists is an important part of reaching each clients goals.

Ali graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2017. She has additional training in pregnancy massage and loves working with women in their early stages of motherhood. She has volunteered to work at sporting events, such as the BMO marathon and the BC Bike Race.

Ali has a passion for the outdoors and you’ll find that she often spends her weekends camping, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, running, climbing or even on the occasional surf trip. It is important to Ali that she helps people to achieve their fitness and lifestyle goals to ultimately lead healthier and happier lives!

Milena graduated from Vancouver collage of Massage Therapy in April 2017. She received her diploma after completing the 3000 hours program, which included 500 massage training hours. She was awarded with the prestigious Heart Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence.
 
Her passion to help people started in her home country Bulgaria where she worked as a Physiotherapist in Children’s Hospital for 7 years. After moving to Canada she got a job as a body worker, which lead her to VCMT and a career in Register Massage Therapy.

Milena values the importance of collaborating with her patients to set the goals for each treatment. She is utilizes a number of different techniques to treatment depending on the desired outcomes of her guests. Some of the approaches she uses are myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, scar tissue release, positional release and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching.

Tony graduated from the WCCMT 3000 hour massage therapy program in 2010. He developed a strong interest in working with individuals who need specific work and focus via variety of techniques applied in moderate to deep pressure. Tony’s massage expertise integrates from several modalities including Sports and Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Rehabilitation Injury, Postural Assessment, End Range Loading and MET. He graduated as a physiotherapist from a Medical University in Bulgaria in 1995 and gained his experience in rehabilitation hospital in Bulgaria( focused in orthopedic and sports injury rehab), and private clinic in Munich, Germany.

 

His focus is to provide the best possible treatment utilizing a variety of techniques, along with the consideration of the individual needs of each person, is what provides the satisfaction that comes with developing and implementing safe and effective treatment planning.

Alana Harris

Alana enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy after a determined search to find a career where she could utilize her ever growing interest in health and the human body to help others achieve a higher quality of life. She graduated from the 3000 hour program in November 2013 and soon after became registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.

 

She has found great success by allowing herself to adapt to each patient’s individual needs, no matter what their reason for seeking massage therapy may be. During a treatment with Alana you can expect her to work as deep into tissue as necessary to relieve tension, break down adhesions, promote healing, and increase mobility. She knows from experience the important role that correct posture, stretching, and body awareness plays in the ability to function at your greatest capacity and always educates her patients on how to do the same.

 

A north shore girl through and through, Alana loves the outdoors and enjoys all the benefits of leading an active lifestyle. She spends her free time running and hiking through the north shore trails, enjoying the snow on the local mountains, surfing in Tofino, and practicing yoga.

 

 

Katrina Milette

Katrina has been working as an RMT at Movéo Sport & Rehabilitation since graduating from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2015. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science and Biology from the University of Alberta. She has completed 240 hours of yoga teacher training at VSBM (now VOSHA).

Katrina has experience treating a plethora of ailments such as headaches, tendonitis, strains and sprains, sciatica, TOS, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, TMJD, motor vehicle based injuries, etc. Expect a problem solving approach as well as a sprinkling of honesty and humour during your time with Katrina.

 

 

Jaime Paquette

Jaime graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy program in 2014 and has been practising as an RMT since. She has an interest in treating headaches, posture related dysfunctions, pregnancy and sports related injuries. Her treatments often include the use of Swedish (relaxation) massage, trigger point release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, stretching and joint mobilizations. In her spare time, Jaime can be found cooking, hiking and camping. Jaime grew up on the North Shore and is excited to be part of the Moveo team!

 

 


Holly Samson

Holly brings 17 years of clinical experience treating a wide range of patients and conditions to the Movéo team. She graduated from the 3000-hour RMT program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in 2003 and joined Movéo in 2008.
 
Holly has practiced in many clinical settings including community sports events (as a volunteer), solo/multidisciplinary clinics, corporate firms, and home/hospital/long term care facilities. Her practice includes safely and effectively treating conditions such as whiplash, postural dysfunction, repetitive strain injuries, osteoarthritis, back/shoulder/hip/neck pain, headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, facet irritation, and sciatica. Her treatment style incorporates trigger point release, fascial release, neuromuscular techniques, muscle energy techniques, stretching/contract-relax stretching, deep tissue techniques, swedish techniques, relaxation/breathing/visualization techniques, and homecare prescription. Holly has a special interest in temporomandibular (jaw) joint dysfunction (including face and scalp pain) as well as women’s health, particularly in the context of prenatal and postpartum massage therapy care.
 
Holly has previously instructed at WCCMT and is currently an instructor at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) in downtown Vancouver with a focus on Spinal Orthopedics. Holly loves what she does and it shows. She is thrilled to be part of a team of practitioners so committed to providing a collaborative approach to patient-centered care.
This mama of two has a background in competitive figure skating and is an avid volleyball player. She is happy to call the North Shore home.

 

 

Andrenea Troyer

Andrenea graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2017, receiving her diploma for completing the 2500 hour, 20 month full time program. Having being a former client at Moveo, she is very excited to be on the other side as a member of the team!

At school she learned to treat a variety of conditions, such as tendinitis, strains, sprains, sciatica and much more! She believes in assessment before and after treatment so she can deliver an effective massage. Andrenea will work with you during your time to develop a plan so you can achieve your goals, whether thats increasing mobility, decreasing tension and pain, or breaking down adhesions among other things. To do this she uses many different techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point release, joint mobilizations, myofascial techniques and active and passive stretching. Andrenea is also a BCRPA personal trainer, and at one point was instructing 25 fitness classes a week, and playing soccer on the side so she is very familiar with sport injuries.

During her free time Andrenea loves weight training, running the trails on the North Shore and exploring National Parks by camping and hiking!
