Meghan is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Masters of Physical Therapy degree from UBC. She has continued her education with training in orthopaedic manual therapy (completed Level 1, Level 2 of Orthopaedic Division), Certification in Medical Acupuncture (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) and has taken courses in the Thoracic Ring Approach (Sports Thorax). She also has training in concussion management and recovery from persistent symptoms.
Meghan aims to determine the root cause of dysfunction by assessing whole body movement patterns and postures. Her treatments may include manual therapy, exercise prescription, trigger point release, acupuncture, and education on injury prevention. Meghan enjoys working with people of all levels of ability and activity goals, and has a particular interest in repetitive overuse injuries from running, biking and shoulder rehabilitation. She has further experience with joint surgery rehabilitation (i.e., total hip, knee and shoulder replacements), ligament reconstructions and neurological rehabilitation (i.e., stroke, Parkinsons).
Meghan is passionate about living an active lifestyle and you will often find her trail running or mountain biking the local trails. You will also find her exploring the north shore with her two young children, her two other little passions in life.
