Active Rehab Programs
Registered Kinesiologists at Movéo provide private 1-on-1 sessions with clients that are 30 or 60 minutes in length. A Kinesiologist facilitates active rehabilitation for clients through individually tailored programs to increase core stability, overall strength, endurance, and active/passive range of motion. These tailored programs can include stretching, strengthening, and endurance exercises that will cater to rehabilitation of an injury, conditioning for injury prevention and performance improvement. To ensure progress, programs will focus on correct posture, body mechanics and proper technique. This will allow the client to feel comfortable continuing their program on their own once the session(s) end. To begin these sessions, the Kinesiologist may perform functional assessments to determine the performance level of the client and use this as a starting point from which to design a custom exercise program for that particular client. These programs can be billed directly to ICBC, providing prior approval from the client’s adjustor or a signed agreement from the client’s lawyer (a Direction to Pay form).
Functional training plays a key role in preparing clients for full and safe return to pre-injury activities and sport performance. Through biochemical analysis and sport-specific skill training we are able to maximize biomechanical efficiency and skill performance.
Innovative training methods are incorporated into personalized rehabilitation programs to ensure that each individual’s specific needs are met. Digital photo exercise programs are utilized to facilitate assessment and guide independent training.
