Qwynn Dalmer
MPT
Registered Physiotherapist
Qwynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a certificate in Health and Fitness Studies from Simon Fraser University as well as a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow, Scotland. Before becoming a practicing physiotherapist in B.C., Qwynn spent a year working in the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom developing his skills and knowledge. He worked in a team-oriented environment with occupational therapists, orthotists, orthopedic physiotherapists, and other specialist physiotherapists exposing him to a wide range of patient conditions requiring diverse assessment and treatment. Qwynn feels this experience has given him a solid foundation for tackling a large variety of injuries with confidence.
Qwynn comes from a sport background. For 13 years, he was figure skater competing at the national level. He has another 9 years as a nationally certified coach working with children as young as 3, up to people in their 50s and beyond. Qwynn has a deep understanding of the demands of sport and injury as well as the rehabilitation that comes with it. Given his focus on and personal development that came from sport, Qwynn’s practical experience with movement, injury management, physical rehabilitation, training regimes, the psychology of pain, and the importance of rest in recovery is deeply ingrained and led him led him to a career in physiotherapy. Qwynn uses an evidence-based and active approach to treatment that is client-centred and focuses on their personal goals for recovery.
Outside of the clinic, Qwynn is now an avid mountain biker, taking his bike all over BC to race or just to shred the gnar with his friends.
